Floyd Mayweather, JR., 50-0, 27 KO’s, is always one big paycheck away from coming back to boxing and he may have found another to lure him back to the ring. Logan Paul, 0-1, is very well known, getting his following from his YouTube channel. He is popular and has shown interest in boxing, which he has done. In his one boxing match, he lost to another YouTuber, KSI by decision in a fight where Paul could never pull the trigger to get things done.
Mayweather, JR., would be taking on Paul in an exhibition and despite the big weight advantage for Paul, this would be a mismatch of epic proportions. Paul does not belong in the same arena as Floyd and the fight would be over when PBF decided he wanted it to be over.
Considering that Oscar De La Hoya is coming back and Mike Tyson is fighting Roy Jones, JR., it’s not shocking that Floyd is planning a return. I don’t see a big interest in the fight though and the PPV would be such a mismatch, it’s hard to see it making money, but who knows. If the hype builds up enough, perhaps it’d be a winner.
