BELLATOR MMA has released a sneak peek of a powerful feature on Welterweight World Champion Yaroslav Amosov (26-0), that will air during the SHOWTIME telecast of his title defense on Saturday, Feb. 25. The feature focuses on the past year of Amosov’s life, which saw him step away from the sport of MMA to take up arms and defend his home country. Amosov recounts his troubling time on the front lines of the war, finding his World Championship belt in the wreckage of his family barn, and his hope of inspiring his nation with a victory on Saturday.
Amosov returns to the BELLATOR cage after serving in Ukraine and is set for a rematch against interim titleist Logan Storley (14-1). Amosov is one of the top fighters in the world and currently holds the longest active unbeaten streak in all of MMA. Perfect through his first 26 professional fights, he is only three wins away from eclipsing retired MMA star Khabib Nurmagomedov’s record of 29 consecutive wins.
