The HBO hit series TRUE DETECTIVE: NIGHT COUNTRY has just hit Blu-Ray and DVD, releasing from Warner Bros Discovery Home Entertainment. It is also available digitally on most streaming services.
It’s impossible to go wrong with Jodie Foster. She is outstanding in this show and brings her grit to the role of a tough detective. This crime drama stands out from others because of the continued mystery and interesting setting. The Alaska backdrop adds to the show’s natural edge and feel.
The two detectives are assigned to a very unusual case and it gets stranger and stranger as they get deeper into it. Taking place in the winter, the sun never really shines and the darkness adds to the show’s overall feel.
I am reviewing the Blu-ray release and it just looks great. It’s a very cinematic show and the mystery of the show keeps the viewer watching. It’s one of those binge-worthy shows where you keep wondering what will happen next and where it will go. With the great cast, writing and storytelling, I found this show to be a very good watch with a satisfying conclusion.
TRUE DETECTIVE: NIGHT COUNTRY lives up to the hype and I highly recommend it.
