AEW’s best heel in the women’s division, Dr. Britt Baker, was in action against the #1 contender for the title, Hikaru Shida. Baker is one of the most amusing personalities in wrestling today and she had a rough go, suffering from an apparent broken nose in the match. She made the most of it and laughed as she was covered in blood, which added to her heel persona.
We saw the best of both wrestlers, but a running knee strike from Shida was enough to get the 1-2-3 over Baker, but both looked great in this one and the division is getting deeper by the week.
