AEW is getting better by the week and their promo for the upcoming heavyweight title match between Jon Moxley and the beast of the Inner Circle, Jake Hager, was amazing and had a great legitimate feel to it. These promos are generating excitement and are bringing back the sport to sports entertainment.
Best Friends weren’t too happy that Kenny Omega and Michael Nakazawa were calling themselves “best friends” and that was enough to get some bad blood going for the match. I’m not a fan of Nakazawa in the ring and his baby oil spot. Every time he does it, it takes momentum away and he did it early in the ring with Trent.
Nakazawa turned the match into a joke with his continued spots with the oil. Best Friends and Omega were doing great and Orange Cassidy is hilarious, as always, but it’s a good idea to keep Nakazawa away from Dynamite in the future.
To the credit of Nakazawa, his overacting when he hit Omega accidentally with his own panties was funny, but overall, he was irritating. Best Friends were able to pull it out after landing their finisher on Nakazawa and then the four of them hugged it out with Cassidy. It was a decent match but only three of the four combatants made it that way.
