Adult Swim’s top prehistoric animated series, GENNDY TARTAKOVSKY’S PRIMAL: THE COMPLETE SECOND SEASON has just been released on Blu-ray and DVD. The Emmy Award-winning series looks better than ever on this release, mixing adventure and fantasy and some gore into an animated series like no other.
The series focuses on the animation and action, showing and not telling. There is very little dialogue. This is just an adventure that the viewer is taken on with nonstop action and surprises.
Spear and Fang proceed and throw caution to the wind as they head off into a new world without knowing what they will encounter and they encounter a lot. It’s very easy to root for them as they deal with the elements and various creatures and others that are trying to end their lives.
The animation is so good in this and the story-telling is clever and exciting. I really enjoyed this and I found this season to actually be better than the first season. I highly recommend it.
