On March 7th, UFC 248 will take place with the middleweight title on the line between Israel Adesanya, 18-0, 14 KO’s, takes on Yoel Romero, 17-4, 11 KO’s, in a bout that is sure to be a war.  Adesanya has had a long history of fighting, trying his skills at boxing, building a 5-1, 1 KO, record and had a great run in kickboxing, leaving the sport with a record of 75-5, 29 KO’s.   In 2017, he would sign with the UFC and he has had an amazing run, leading to the UFC Middleweight title in 2019.

When it comes to Adesanya, he’s hard to bet against.  The online sports betting community have come out to support him and put down their cash on the man that has not seen defeat of any sort in a long time.   As for Romero, he may have the right stuff to pull the upset.  The Cuban Olympic Silver Medalist brings a mixture of freestyle wrestling and unmatched athleticism, which makes him a very live underdog in this upcoming title match.

Styles make fights and the clash of styles will create excitement as both mixed martial artists try to impose their will on the other man.  At this point, Adesanya is the slight favorite, but look for Romero to try to flip the script and try to make it a ground game, removing the boxer/kickboxer from his plan.

Supporting the main event is a straw weight battle between Weili Zhang, 20-1, 10 KO’s, 7 Submissions, and Joanna Jedrzejczyk, 16-3, 4 KO’s, 1 submission.  Zhang, known as Magnum, is an expert in the arts of Brazilian jiu-jitsu (BJJ) and Sanda.  She would have great success in FC before moving onto the UFC and has owned the straw weight division.  Jedrzejczyk is the underdog going in, but she is a tough warrior, ready to pull the upset win.  Schooled in Muay Thai and kickboxing, she brings a skillset to the bout that will give Zhang some problems.   She has won UFC gold and has shown that she can hit hard and take a punch.

Las Vegas will be home to UFC 248 and the crowd will be in for a treat as this fight card takes place with fireworks expected.
