Wardlow VS Hangman Page – World Title Eliminator Tournament: AEW Dynamite (10/28) – Live Results & Pro Wrestling News

We begin with Wardlow getting interviewed, but MJF interrupts to note that should Wardlow win, he will get the title.  Sammy Guevara steps up and has some words with MJF.  MJF keeps calling him “little guy.”    This is classic stuff and it appears that not all of the Inner Circle wants to have MJF join.

What a way to start the show: Wardlow and Hangman Page in a one on one, which will be one of the best matches of the night.  Page jumps Wardlow but it doesn’t last long.  Wardlow’s early assault and power are the factor so far.  Page is just trying to survive.  This is a brawl and both men are beating each other.  Wardlow spears Page through the railing outside of the ring.  What a spear!

Page is taking a serious beating and is having a hard time surviving the early stages of the match.  Wardlow’s only defeat was to Cody Rhodes and that was due to a dive from the top of a cage.  Page will have to survive and outlast the big man.

Page starts focusing his attack on the right arm of Wardlow and it’s paying dividends.   Page is starting to use a series of clotheslines to weaken Wardlow and take the momentum of the match.  This is an incredible match.  AEW is doing one hell of a job starting this show and launching it with a lot of intensity and excitement.

Wardlow lands the F-10, but Page escapes to the outside to avoid the pin.   Page reverses a move on the top rope and launches Wardlow to the mat.  Page lands two Buckshot lariats  to get the 1-2-3 count.  What a great match.
