Jake Hager comes to the ring with his wife, ready for his TNT title match against the defending champion, Cody Rhodes, with Arn Anderson.  Hager looks ready for the match, very intense, and his wife is a pretty good heel.

Hager’s strength is immediately on display.  Cody gets control with some chain wrestling to wear down the bigger man.  Hager is using his MMA punches to the body of Cody to hurt the champion.  The match is very even thus far, but Cody is getting more aggressive and is landing some rough high-flying stuff on the challenger.

Cody puts the figure four on Hager, but he gets the ropes.   Cody has the momentum, but Hager attacks Arn Anderson.  Jericho is making me laugh left and right.  He’s so funny!  Hager gets the advantage and his wife takes a cheap shot at the champion.  She adds to Hager.  I hope she gets involved more.

Anderson is becoming a factor in the match and gives Cody the momentum back.  This is a great match!  A great top rope cutter lands on Hager and Cody is really in charge.  Hager is trying to regroup and gets some momentum back, landing the Vader bomb and a hip toss.   A second Vader bomb gets countered and a reverse DDT puts Hager down for a near fall.

Hager gets the ankle lock submission on Cody.  Dustin interferes but Hager gets the arm triangle on and puts Cody out only to hold him while his shoulders were down.  The referee counted the 3 count with Cody out, but on top of Hager and the champion retains the title.  Hager was sure he won and the referee paid for the call, getting knocked out by Hager.
