Scooby Doo is one of the most popular and iconic cartoon series of all time. From short films to feature length films and live action movies, there has always been interest in this series and an all new animated feature has been released. TRICK OR TREAT SCOOBY DOO! is on digital and DVD. The 72-minute film has been released by Warner Bros. Home Entertainment and has some extra bonus material to go along with it.
TRICK OR TREAT SCOOBY DOO! is a tribute to the past but presenting something very new and interesting. After the gang exposes another monster, the conclusion is made that all of the villains that they have encountered and stopped were connected. They must now uncover a conspiracy and solve the biggest mystery that they have ever encountered.
The usual Scooby Doo situations occur including Shaggy and Scooby going into disguise to try to uncover some clues. The location of a big Halloween festival is perfect for this holiday film and it captures the feeling of Halloween throughout, which isn’t surprising considering that this really is a horror series for kids.
The film presents a lot of bad guys and ghouls and the animation is sharp and eye-catching. This isn’t the best Scooby Doo movie of all time, but it’s worth a watch if you like the series. It checks all the Scooby doo boxes that you’d expect and it’s definitely directed at children, which is should be. I recommend it.
