When it comes to a good time, it’s hard to beat the fun to be had at a casino.  The atmosphere and excitement in the air make the experience a great one. Considering the amount of people that a casino attracts and the unique atmosphere, it’s not surprising that film has used it multiple times as a setting and even a character.

With online gaming making casino gaming that much easier and gives the player the ability to play from home.   One of the ones that are often mentioned when it comes to such gaming is the online casino 10cric in India.  The gaming feeling is often captured as you play the popular table games and slots right at home.

ROUNDERS

Matt Damon and Ed Norton bring some Texas Hold’em action to the screen, bringing the casino action and some underground action to the screen.  After losing everything he had at the table to KGB, played by John Malkovich, Damon gives up the game.

When his friend is released from prison, Damon returns to the game to rescue his friend from a debt to a dangerous force.  Table by table, game by game and city by city, the duo take part in a gambling spree that sees a lot of money come into play.

ROUNDERS is easily one of the best casino films in history with excitement and the real feel of excitement that a player has when they sit down to play.

Mickey, played by Kevin Spacey, is a college professor that has a secret hobby that he involves select students in.  On the weekends, the group jumps on a plane and heads over to Las Vegas for some serious gambling fun.

One of smartest in the group with a talent for match proves to be the shining star that Mickey has been waiting for.   As the weekends pile up, so does the money, but Mickey soon starts to show some character flaws that the group begins to notice.

A conflict between Mickey and the students that once worked with him begins with plenty of twists and turns.  The casino is a character in this film.  It’s done incredibly well and makes me want to buy some tickets to Vegas every time I see it.

REINDEER GAMES

One of the first roles for Ben Affleck, REINDEER GAMES, is a fun holiday movie with plenty of a casino action.  Meeting Ashley (Charlize Theron) upon release, things seem to be looking up until Rudy (Affleck) meets her brother.

After the meeting, a heist at the Tomahawk Casino is planned.  The group scouts the casino and it does a great job showcasing the lights and action.  The action increases when the group dresses up like Santas to take down the casino.

REINDEER GAMES is a great casino film and holiday film as well.

FINDER’S FEE

James Earl Jones of STAR WARS fame sits down for a big night of high stakes poker when lottery tickets are the ante and one of the tickets is a huge winner.  When the stakes are revealed, the tension rises and the winner may not be able to walk away from the table with the money in hand.

Although an obscure movie, it’s a great amount of fun and has some very interesting twists throughout.

Casino and gaming is perfect for film.  It can be a huge part of the story or just be the setting and will have a huge impact either way.  As I write this, I think I will go look for some slots to play.
