“Slaughter Daughter” Wins Best Feature Film at Horror Film Festival

Horror actress/producer Leesa Rowland is proud to announce that her latest film, Slaughter Daughter, took home the Best Feature Film Freaky Award over the weekend in Orlando, Florida at the 7th Annual Freak Show Horror Film Festival. The movie competed against 30 different independent films in nine different categories: Jury Award, Best Feature, Best Short, Best Florida Feature, Best Florida Short, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Cinematography, Best Special FX Makeup

The plot of the movieis based on a scorned bride who was left at the altar and develops an unhealthy obsession with a recently convicted serial murder, Jackson Miles. News of her mother’s engagement sends her into a tailspin and she realizes she may not be the perfect daughter but perhaps the perfect killer. Leesa, aka the Scream Queen, is well known in the world of horror and promises to continue to frighten even the biggest horror film fanatic with her next film, After Birth that’s slated to be released in early 2013.
