AEW’s pay per view “DOUBLE OR NOTHING” was announced for May 23rd. With the lack of boxing and MMA events, it’s nice to see that they are proceeding with their big event.
The Inner Circle did their “Bubbly Bunch” with each member on their cell phone, talking about their plans to destroy the Elite. It was hilarious. Sammy Guevara is one of the funniest guys in the game and Jake Hager telling his kids to put on their “earmuffs” so he could say the word “shit” to his friends. It was great stuff. Chris Jericho ended the bit screaming about his lack of toilet paper, a reference to the coronavirus zombies that keep buying it all up. It was funny stuff.
Suged was the opponent for Sammy Guevara. Suged wasn’t overall impressive in the ring. Guevara dominated and carried the match, landing some great knee strikes to the head of Suged, taking the 1-2-3 without much problem. After the match, Guevara grabbed the mic and called Suged “light work.” He talked about his TNT tournament match against Darby Allin and how he was going to “beat the shit” out of him. He went on to give an example by further beating Suged, but it prompted Allin to run down to the ring. Guevara ran out of the ring but is ready for the showdown with Allin in the near future.
