Floyd Mayweather, JR., 50-0, 27 KO’s, coming out of retirement again was not a surprise, but fighting a young and undefeated kickboxer, Tenshin Nasukawa, was a little unexpected. But where there is money, there is Money Mayweather and the assumption was that the price was right, but the details are where this fight falls apart.

Mayweather, JR., was under the impression that the fight would be an exhibition of 3 rounds, but it spiraled out of control and got a lot bigger than Floyd would have liked. Once he got back to the states, he was soon to pull out of the fight because of the terms and it’s hard to blame him. If Money Mayweather doesn’t have full control of all aspects of the showdown, he’s not going to be a part of it. His record and legacy are very important to him and, at this point in his life, he is not willing to take many chances, but he will jump at easy money.

Even though this fight is off, Floyd did get himself all over the news and that may have been his point all along. Expect another move in the near future from Floyd and I would not be surprised if he makes it on December 1st to interfere with the Deontay Wilder – Tyson Fury PPV that night. Stay tuned…
