The popularity of anime meets the hit Adult Swim in the newly released RICK AND MORTY: THE ANIME from Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment. Made up of episodes and shorts, the show is a much different approach to the characters and style of the show. It has distinctive storylines and each show presents something different.
There was definitely an effort to separate this from the popular show and make it its own thing and it does that very well. You still get the characters you love, but you get them in a manner that is totally different.
Along with the recognizable cast, there are many new side characters introduced, including the President of the United States. This is really a different experience for the viewer that is accustomed to the normal show, but the variation is decent and will be a love or hate sort of thing.
This is now on Blu-Ray and DVD and, if you are fan of the show, this is something you’ll want to own and you’ll enjoy the take on the series as a whole. It includes all 10 episodes.
