Middleweight Nikoloz “The Experiment” Sekhniashvili, 6-0, 4 KO’s, tried a little too hard for a knockout win over Isiah Jones, 8-2, 3 KO’s, loading up with every shot and never finding any rhythm. He would dominate every round, but never do the damage that he wanted to do with his big punches. He would load up and then get clinched after one shot from the inactive Jones.
The judges had an easy night and scored the fight 59-55 and 60-54 (twice) for Sekhniashvili. It wasn’t a great fight for the power puncher. He has a lot to change if he wants to get the knockouts. He didn’t set it up and it was here with Jones.
