Luis Arias, 18-1-1, 9 KO’s, and Gabe Rosado, 24-11-1, 14 KO’s, fought about as evenly as they could over the course of 12 rounds, leading to a split decision draw by scores of 116-112, 112-116 and 114-114. The fighters had a 10 grand bet going into this grudge match, which left both men breaking even.
A title fight was hanging in the balance for these two middleweights but that will have to wait as a rematch is likely. Both men had their moments but the fight lacked the drama that most expected considering the bad blood going into it.
