January 14th, KRYPTON: THE COMPLETE SECOND & FINAL SEASON is out on Blu-Ray and DVD from Warner Bros. Entertainment. Superman is a character that hasn’t always been treated the best, but I really enjoyed the KRYPTON series, and the second season was really good, better than that first season for various reasons.
The story-telling in this season is very good and the pacing and mystery makes it a binge-worthy show. One of the great villains in superhero history, Zod, gets his shot to run the show with Superman out of the picture and the entire politics side of it is handled quite well and it was very cool to see his vision come into reality.
A new character, Lobo, is introduced and he compliments the show and is a welcomed addition to the vast amount of characters that make up KRYPTON. The battle between the villains and the resistance makes up the majority of this show as you go deeper into it. The series is satisfying but bitter-sweet. It really found its footing in this season and I really enjoyed it. I highly recommend it.
