This Wednesday, former AEW heavyweight champion, Jon Moxley, will be taking on Dark Order’s Evil Uno. With the current tension between Moxley and Hangman Page, this has brought the Dark Order to the defense and to face off with the Blackpool Combat Club.
Evil Uno is now the leader of the Dark Order, more or less, but things haven’t been very good for the group. After the unfortunate passing of Brodie Lee, the group has fallen down the card and has not had much direction. They’ve become linked to Page and only have air time when it’s relevant to Page’s life.
Moxley, at one time, was doing great and elected to give up the charisma he had and the steam he built up in his career by starting the Blackpool Combat Club with Claudio Castagnoli, Wheeler Yuta and Bryan Danielson. It’s fair to say that this experiment was a failure and killed the momentum that both Moxley and Danielson had.
AEW is building up the final showdown with Moxley and Page and there’s no question that Moxley wins. It’s unfortunate that Evil Uno has so much potential as a heel and he’s got nothing going on. I’m happy to see Evil Uno back on TV, but he will lose and disappear again.
