Hawthorne Heights Drops Two New Tracks – “Machinehead” (Originally Recorded by Bush) and “The Perfect Way To Fall Apart” – Music News

Hawthorne Heights have surprised fans with the release of two brand new tracks from their forthcoming album Lost Frequencies today.

PopCrush first premiered the band’s version of Bush’s “Machine Head” earlier today. When we were all in high school, Bush came outta nowhere. Every freakin song was a smash hit,” shares JT Woodruff on choosing this song to cover. “They also play that song at Cincinnati Bengals games, right after Ohio Is For Lovers, so we felt it was appropriate.”

Fans were also treated to an acoustic version of “The Perfect Way To Fall Apart”, premiering exclusively with Rock SoundWoodruff told the UK outlet We’ve always been a fan of alternate versions. Since we were working on covers, we thought why not cover ourselves a little bit. It’s nice to hear what songs sound like in different arrangements, because all good songs stand alone in any style.”

A collection of b-sides and rarities, Lost Frequencies is due out November 8th via Pure Noise Records. “We wanted to do something we had never done before, which was a collection of stuff that had been buried for one reason or another,” shares Woodruff on the forthcoming album.Fans can pre-order Lost Frequencies at https://smarturl.it/HHBF.

Hawthorne Heights will be supporting New Found Glory on their upcoming From The Screen To Your Stereo To Your Town Tour, which kicks off this weekend in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Tickets are on sale now with select dates already sold out.

Lost Frequencies is the follow up release to the band’s latest full length, Bad Frequencies, which was released last year via Pure Noise Records. It was the band’s first full-length release since 2013 and gave fans a look back on why Hawthorne Heights has maintained such a strong presence in the genre while continuously growing, maturing and reflecting on life as musicians and as men. The album was produced by Hawthorne Heights along with Nick Ingram (Hotel Books, Capital House Studio), and mixed by Cameron Webb (Grammy Winner, NOFX, Social Distortion).
