Floyd Mayweather, JR., 50-0, 27 KO’s, went to Japan for a three round exhibition against Tenshin Nasukawa, 28-0 (kickboxing record), and had no issue getting rid of the smaller fighter, taking the victory inside of a round. It was noticeable immediately that Floyd was the far bigger man and he fought like that. He went right at Nasukawa, throwing punches and smiling at him the entire time. A left hook grazed him and sent him to the floor and he was pretty much out at that point. His arms flopped around but he showed courage and got to his feet.
Floyd would land a right hand to the body and a hard right hand to the head that would send the smaller man to the floor again and put him in more serious trouble. A third knockdown would happen shortly after and the corner of Tenshin Nasukawa would throw in the towel and put an end to the mismatch.
The payday was 9 million and Money Mayweather proves again that he is one of the smartest businessmen this sport has ever seen. In his last two fights against Conor McGregor and Tenshin Nasukawa, he cleared a ton of money and neither fighter belonged in the ring with him. Perhaps this knockout of the overmatched and outsized kickboxer will bring Floyd back to the ring for a real fight, but it’s unlikely. He’ll probably continue to bring the circus to town and take on no-hopers from different sports to further his bank account.
