Contamination (1980) – Alien EXPLOSION HORROR MOVIE REVIEW

A ship that has lost communication is coming into New York City. When the military board the ship, they discover the crew all dead and all in terrible shape. They all exploded from the inside. At one point, a foolish military man grabs what appears to be an alien sort of vegetable and it begins flashing. He then explodes. When you have people exploding, you are going to have a recipe for a great film.

A coffee factory is shipping out what appear to be alien eggs worldwide and the government is desperately trying to figure out just what is going on and how they can stop it. Headed up by Stella Holmes (Louise Marleau) and Tony Aris (Marino Mase), the officials begin chipping away at the story and revealing the truth. The truth involves a manned trip to Mars with Hamilton (Siegfried Rauch) and Hubbard (Ian McCulloch) that left Hamilton dead.

The duo had stumbled across some of those alien eggs. How they have made it to earth is in question and it is answered.

A trip to the coffee factory by the trio uncovers the horrible truth and the “Cyclops” that has been shitting out the eggs and mind-controlling some humans to do its bidding.

CONTAMINATION is a fun movie that reminds me a lot of THE STUFF. I think that it may have been “mediocre” had it not been for the exploding people. Every time that I was about to lose interest…boom. Somebody’s insides just blew up everywhere. It was awesome.

I recommend CONTAMINATION. If you liked THE STUFF and evil alien movies, then this will give you a chubby.
