Best of Television Acting Talent Lined Up for Twelfth Season of PBS SoCal Series VARIETY STUDIO: ACTORS ON ACTORS – News

Variety and PBS SoCal, Southern California’s home for the premieres of new PBS programs, announced today the schedule for the twelfth season of the Emmy® Award-winning series VARIETY STUDIO: ACTORS ON ACTORS. Co-produced by PBS SoCal, the newest season of half-hour specials will offer audiences exclusive, one-on-one virtual conversations between top acting talent from this year’s most notable television shows who are expected to contend this Emmy® season. The first two episodes of the new season will premiere back-to-back on Fri., July 17 at p.m. and 8:30 on PBS SoCal and episodes three and four will premiere on Fri. July 24 at 8 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. on PBS SoCal. All episodes will stream on pbssocal.org following their premieres and will also be available to watch on the free PBS Video app.

VARIETY STUDIO: ACTORS ON ACTORS will be airing on PBS stations across the nation starting in July (check local listings). Variety’s Actors on Actors issue hit newsstands on June 23.

The new season of the series features conversations below and will air as follows (subject to change): 

Fri., July. 17 at 8 p.m.

This episode features Regina King (Watchmen) with Reese Witherspoon (Little Fires Everywhere), Anne Hathaway (Modern Love) with Hugh Jackman (Bad Education) and Kieran Culkin (Succession) with Dan Levy (Schitt’s Creek).  

Fri., July 17 at 8:30 p.m.

This episode features Sandra Oh (Killing Eve) with Kerry Washington (Little Fires Everywhere), Tessa Thompson (Westworld) with Ramy Youssef (Ramy) and Russell Crowe (The Loudest Voice) with Nicole Kidman (Big Little Lies).

Fri., July 24 at 8 p.m.

This episode features Jennifer Aniston (The Morning Show) with Lisa Kudrow (Space Force), Daveed Diggs (Snowpiercer) with Anthony Mackie (Altered Carbon) and Henry Cavill (The Witcher) with Patrick Stewart (Star Trek: Picard).

Fri., July 24 at 8:30 p.m.

This episode features Claire Danes (Homeland) with Damian Lewis (Billions), Zendaya (Euphoria) with Mj Rodriguez (Pose) and Chris Evans (Defending Jacob) with Paul Rudd (Living with Yourself).
