(Warner Bros. Home Entertainment provided me with a free copy of the Blu-Ray I reviewed in this blog post.  The opinions I share are my own.)

On August 18th, BATWOMAN: THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON will be released on Blu-Ray and DVD from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment with all 20 episodes, The Best of DC TV’s Comic-Con Panels San Diego 2019, Deleted Scenes and Gag Reel.

The series starts off slow and takes the time to build and develop storylines.  The first couple of episodes are setting the foundation and then it turns up the heat and really kicks into high gear, pushing the pace with every following episode.

Batwoman is a great vigilante hero, but she is a flawed hero and is battling her own demons and a lot of this series is her journey into herself.  The fight scenes are really well done as well.  This is just a good mix of action, drama and mystery.  I highly recommend this series.  Every episode leads to the other and it’s easy to get lost in it.
