Cody Rhodes AEW Departure and WWE Return – Wrestlemania & More – Pro Wrestling News

One of the founders of AEW, Cody Rhodes, has moved on from the company and is headed back to the WWE with plans to become a big star. Brandi Rhodes will be joining him and this seems like a good time.  Brandi never really found any traction and may not be able to find it in the WWE either, but Cody is the one that we should expect big things from.

The WWE has basically acknowledged that they are back into a competition not seen since the days of WCW and with AEW picking up former WWE stars like CM Punk, Jon Moxley and Bryan Danielson, this was a big deal and nod to AEW.

With Wrestlemania around the corner, expect Cody Rhodes to get a huge match and push in the company.  Beyond that, Cody has a brain for the business and was instrumental in the rise of AEW.  He could be very useful behind the scenes if Vince McMahon gives him the space to work….and that’s a big if.
