Indie alien abduction film, “Static Codes” begins production on locations in Los Angeles June 23, 2022. Augie Duke (FX’s Mayan MC) and Jiaoying Summers (Peacocks’ Asian Invasion 2.0) have joined the cast which stars Sadie Katz (Wrong Turn 6), Mike Ferguson (Amityville Uprising) and Shane Woodson (8 Days to Hell). The thriller follows a paralyzed podcaster of the popular “The True Encounters Podcast and Rado Hour” who is determined to find his wife who was abducted by Aliens 10 years ago.
David M Parks wrote the script and this will serve as his directorial debut on the project. The film is produced by Thomas Walton, Jared Safier, David M Parks and David Lewis.
Static Codes is from veteran scifi horror genre film makers at Lux Angeles Studios, Safier Entertainment and PhilaDreams Films. Their previous film credits include “Amilyville Uprising,” “7 Days to Vegas” and “Christmas vs The Walters.”
Jiaoying Summers headlines at Improv and Laugh Factory and Caroline’s NYC and owns 2 comedy clubs in Los Angeles and is repped by Ambassador Talent.
