EDDIE KINGSTON VS PAC

We start off with “The Bastard” PAC taking on Eddie Kingston in what promises to be a barn burner.  Kingston comes to the ring with the Bunny, the Blade and the Butcher.  As good as Kingston is, the Butcher and Blade are having a hard time finding any traction in AEW.

PAC comes to the ring with the Lucha Bros and he attacks Kingston immediately. PAC is all over Kingston, hitting him with kick after kick and even lands a top rope dropkick.  This is pure brutality, but Kingston is known for bouncing back.

Kingston throws PAC outside the ring and the Bunny attacks, scraping his eyes.  Kingston suplexes PAC on the floor outside the ring.  The pace of the match has slowed dramatically with Kingston dictating.

PAC lands a superplex from the top rope to get a near fall.  PAC lands the corkscrew splash from the top rope to get the 3 count and as hell is about to break loose, Lance Archer comes down to the ring to settle it.  Archer and PAC have become a team of sorts, but it’s shaky.

CHUCK TAYLOR VS. MIRO

Chuck Taylor comes to the ring with Orange Cassidy.  Miro comes to the ring with Kip Sabian and Penelope Ford.  Miro is a superstar and could very well be the future world champion.

Taylor attacks immediately and he is pulling out all the stops.  He is running Miro into the wall and launches himself over the top rope on top of Miro.  Taylor is dominant early as Cassidy nonchalantly watches on.

Miro finally gets some offense in, landing a Samoan drop.  He lands a suplex and is now putting on the punishment.   A thrust kick to the jaw of Taylor drops him.  Miro gets the Camel Clutch in for a submission win and now Taylor has to be Miro’s Young Boy/Servant for a month.

Matt Hardy is backstage with Private Party.  Hardy is now their manager officially.  Private Party is not happy about the amount of money that Hardy is already taking from them.  Hardy being an asshole is pretty funny.

THE INNER CIRCLE’S NEW YEAR’S RESOLUTION

Chris Jericho, MJF, Jake Hager, Santana, Ortiz, Sammy Guevara and Wardlow hit the ring, ready to talk about their New Year’s Resolution.  This should be interesting…

Jake Hager notes that championships, MJF wants to get rid of fat people, Ortiz wants to cook better.  Jericho says 2021 will be the year that MJF and Jericho will win the tag team titles.  That gets an objection from Santana.  Guevara steps in and calls Jericho a “tag team slut.”  The crowd is chanting “tag team slut.”  It’s hilarious.

Jericho proposes that next week on Dynamite, MJF and Jericho, Santana and Ortiz, Guevara and Hager will be involved in a three-way tag match.  They are still having issues.

Evil Uno!!!  I love Evil Uno and he notes that Hangman Page will team with the Dark Order next week.  The Dark Order needs a headliner with the passing of Brodie Lee and Page is a good addition.  I’m happy to see that the Dark Order isn’t being eliminated.  There’s a ton of talent there and I’m an Uno fan.

KENNY OMEGA & THE GOOD BROTHERS VS. BRIAN PILLMAN JR, GRIFF GARRISON & DANNY LIMELIGHT

Don Callis, Kenny Omega and the Young Bucks are interviewed before their six man tag team match.  Omega comes down to the ring first with Don Callis in his corner and the big AEW title belt around his waist.  Callis announces the tag team champions, the Good Brothers, rather than the Bucks.

Gallows and Anderson are a dominant force and the trio is taking it to the underdogs across the ring from them.  Limelight is doing pretty well with Omega and the Varsity Blondes are getting things done.  They get a near fall on Anderson.

A Magic Killer on Limelight gets the 3 count and victory for Omega and the Good Brothers.  Jon Moxley is in the arena and he is walking down the stairs to the ring.  Moxley rushes the ring but it’s 3 on 1.   The numbers game becomes too much but the Lucha bros come out and even up the score.

The Bucks come into the ring and the Lucha Bros hit them with the double super kick.  This is chaos.  Moxley puts a paradigm shift on a member of the security team.  That doesn’t happen enough.

THE WAITING ROOM WITH DR. BRITT BAKER

I love Dr. Britt Baker and she starts by being an asshole by telling the crowd that they all have something under their chairs.  They look and then Baker laughs because there is nothing there.  Reba is hilarious.  Her obnoxious laugh is great.  It’s so funny.

Baker brings Cody out and then brings out Shaq’s girlfriend to promote a match between the two.  It’s pretty lame, but Baker is doing great things with her show.  Thunder Rosa cuts in and announces a February 3rd Dynamite match with Baker.

Baker yells “Tony you said I didn’t have to wrestle her.”  She is hilarious.  She is the best heel in AEW.

MARKO STUNT & JUNGLE BOY VS. FTR

Jurassic Express, featuring Jungle Boy and Marko Stunt with Luchasaurus sitting it out, is taking on former champs, FTR.  FTR was able to manipulate Luchasaurus out of this match and know that Stunt is no challenge.  They immediately start beating down Stunt.

I’m very pleased to see Jungle Boy come out to the tune “Tarzan Boy.”  I’m glad that Tony Khan bought the rights to the song.  It’s so fitting and funny.

FTR is such an old school team.   They are dealing out the punishment to Stunt and isolating Jungle Boy.  Jungle Boy finally gets in and now the match is competitive.  Tully Blanchard runs Stunt into the steel post. I love Tully!

The Big Rig on Stunt gets the 1-2-3 and victory for FTR.

TAY CONTI VS. SERENA DEEB – NWA WOMEN’S TITLE

Tay Conti is brought to the ring by the Dark Order.  AEW has a lot of beautiful ladies.  Tay and Anna Jay certainly are knockouts they are great in the ring as well.  Deeb is as smooth as it gets in the ring and can make anyone look good.  She’s like Bret Hart but with better tits.

Conti is doing well and lands a punt kick to launch Deeb out of the ring.  Deeb has her hands full and Anna Jay outside the ring could be a factor.

Deeb is landing a lot of good offense, getting some near falls, but Conti keeps kicking out.  Deeb lands the Detox and gets the 3 count to retain the NWA title in a great match.

DARBY ALLIN VS. BRIAN CAGE – TNT WORLD TITLE

It’s main event time.  The FTW champion, Brian Cage, comes to the ring with Ricky Starks and Taz as he prepares for his shot at AEW gold.  The TNT champion, Darby Allin comes to the ring with the title in his hand and will have his hands full tonight.  Cage outweighs him by 100 pounds and has beaten him before.

Cage has a 13-1 record with his only defeat to Jon Moxley.  Allin has a 14-5 record going into this one, but he is the champion and will fight hard to hold onto the gold even though he is the underdog.

Allin is taking the fight to Cage, but it doesn’t last long.  The strength of Cage is the factor that is dictating the match as most expected it would, but it’s still early in the match.

Cage threw Allin from inside the ring through a table located outside the ring.  Allin is bleeding and is destroying Allin thus far.  The 100 pound weight difference might be too much to overcome.

This match is all Cage.  Allin is taking a vicious beating.  Power bomb after power bomb but a groggy Allin flips off Cage.  Jim Ross screams “STOP THE DAMN MATCH!”  I love it.  Allin cannot get any sustained offense going, but he keeps kicking out and Cage is getting frustrated.

Allin finally gets it going and lands a coffin drop on the steel steps to Cage.  He’s finally got Cage in trouble.  Allin is biting and even tied up Cage with his belt, but he’s still struggling to get the big man out of there.   Allin is really getting it together.

Starks interferes but the lights out and Sting hits Starks with a bat.  Allin counters and gets the 1-2-3 on Cage in a great match.
