It’s Wednesday night and that means AEW Dynamite.  We start with the Dark Order celebrating -1’s birthday.  You can see that Brodie Lee, JR., is having the time of his life and what a great way to treat him after the sad passing of his father, Brodie Lee.

Luther and Serpentico, the Chaos Project, arrive to interrupt the festivities to object to -1’s comments that he looks stupid.  They went to ruin the birthday which launches the first match of the night.

HANGMAN PAGE & DARK ORDER VS. THE HYBRID2 & CHAOS PROJECT

Hangman Page will announce if he is joining the Dark Order tonight.  Page is a superstar and he keeps getting better.  He is cleaning house and Colt Cabana does a flying apple from the second rope.  Cabana has some of the best offense in the game. He’s hilarious.

Evil Uno!  The man, Evil Uno, is watching on alongside Anna Jay.  I don’t think there is a more attractive woman in the world or pro wrestling.  Amazing.

Luther is launched face first into the cake by Cabana and with some help from -1.  A great finish with Page including his finisher into the finisher of John Silver and Alex Reynolds.

John Silver is fucking hilarious and he tells Page how much he admires him.  Page says he can’t, but they launch the celebration with the sign “He Said Yes” and it was so funny to see the Dark Order chase the people away that were dancing.  The Dark Order is very disappointed.

MJF and Chris Jericho are interviewed about their tag team free for all against the rest of the Inner Circle.  Next up is Sting to congratulate Darby Allin on his successful TNT championship defense last week over Brian Cage.  Sting notes that he sees a lot of him in Darby and congratulates him on his victory.  Taz interrupts and tells Sting to shut up.

Taz says that he’s going to take it to the streets because they are street fighters.  Darby says “be careful what you wish for because it might just happen.”  This might be a return to the ring for Sting against Team Taz.

The Young Bucks arrive at Kenny Omega’s house.  They see an oil painting of Don Callis and Omega, both buff and wearing jeans.  It was so funny.  The Bucks are upset with Callis but he’s trying to smooth it over.  Callis tries to buy off the Bucks to get out of Omega’s life. Callis says that the Bucks are holding him back.  Callis calls them “bloodsuckers.”  We end the segment with Callis screaming. It’s good stuff.

PRETTY PETER AVALON VS. CODY RHODES

Pretty Peter Avalon is hilarious.  He is one of the best comedic acts that they have going in AEW at this time. Rhodes immediately lands the Crossroads but Jay, Shaq’s girl, shows up to distract.  Avalon hits a major low blow.

Avalon is putting up one hell of an effort in this match, including a great superplex from the top rope.  Cody is able to get the advantage and apply the figure four leading to a submission.

FTR is backstage and they are now ranked #1.  Jurassic Express interrupts, leading to a deal for a one on one match up between Jungle boy and Dax Hardwood.

JON MOXLEY VS. NICK COMOROTO

The former champion, Jon Moxley, is back in action to take on the reincarnated Hercules, Nick Comoroto.  Moxley immediately starts with a head butt and Moxley is putting a beating on Comoroto, but the underdog gets some offense in.  Comoroto landed a great power slam.

Comoroto is using a lot of back breakers to soften up the former champion and the bout is proving more competitive than most expected.  Comoroto misses a splash in the corner and hit very hard, giving Moxley the momentum.

In a very tough match, Moxley finds the sleeper hold to put the big man out.  Comoroto could be a star in the making.

Eddie Kingston is interviewed and told that he is facing Lance Archer next week.  Archer interrupts and makes his intentions clear.  Jake “The Snake” Roberts makes the final note to Kingston to face his man in the ring without his two monkeys.

Omega shows up at the arena and finds that Callis has been beaten up.  Omega wants to know who did it and Callis finally admits that he was jumped by the Bucks.

MATT SYDAL & TOP FLIGHT VS. MATT HARDY & PRIVATE PARTY

Matt Hardy, the manager, teams up with his team, Private Party, to take on Matt Sydal and Top Flight.  Hardy and Private Party are very good but damn, Top Flight is sooooo boring.  With Private Party getting the worst of it, Hardy is screaming “you are embarrassing me!”

Private Party is going to grow into very good heels.  They can really be arrogant and it’s going to work amazingly with them as bad guys.  Matt Hardy might have hurt his knee after a dive by one of the members of Top Flight.  Hardy is OK and landing side effects on all three members of the opposition.  Great stuff.

Private Party uses a chair to get the 3 count victory.  Hardy is doing great things with them.

LEYLA HIRSCH VS. PENELOPE FORD

Kip Sabian is hilarious as he dances out to the ring.  Miro is there to accompany Ford to the ring as well and Chuck Taylor of the Best Friends out there butler style.   Ford has a great new look with her hair.

Hirsch is short but stocky and immediately takes Ford to the ground.  Sabian insisted Chuck Taylor trip Hirsch and he does.  It’s awesome.  The reluctant cheating by Taylor is hilarious.  This is stuff that hasn’t been seen since the 80’s and it’s most welcomed back.

I’ve said it before.  For some reason, Hirsch reminds me of Greg “the Hammer” Valentine but way hotter.  At least 50% hotter.  Maybe even 76% hotter.

Hirsch jumps out of the ring and takes out Sabian and Taylor, but Ford lands a pump kick and gets the 3 count with the help of Sabian holding down the legs of Hirsch.  Miro brings Taylor into the ring and insists that he says that he is his best friend now, not that “George Michael wannabe” Orange Cassidy.  He reluctantly does it.

The Good Brothers and Omega are beating down the Lucha Brothers backstage.  It’s so awesome to see the AEW-IMPACT collaboration in recent days.  I love the direction non-WWE pro wrestling is going.

SANTANA/ORTIZ VS. MJF/CHRIS JERICHO VS. SAMMY GUEVARA/JAKE HAGER

The Inner Circle is doing some infighting in the main event of Dynamite.  As the teams make it to the ring, I am hoping that Santana and Ortiz win this thing.  Ortiz needs to get back to the tiger claw.  I hope we see it tonight.

Guevara is doing some great things in this match, but it is strange to see the Inner Circle fighting each other.  Hager is destroying everyone.  I like the idea of a team called Sammy Hager.

Jericho gets the Lionsault on Guevara for a 2 count.  This is the best of the Inner Circle.  They are all having their spots and great moments.  MJF steals it after a Wardlow distraction to get the 3 count on Guevara.
