5 Horror Movies That Would Make Killer Casino Slots

Geno

When it comes to slasher movies you know there is going to be a high body count and lots of gory death sequences. You also know that you’ll have a killer motivated by past trauma and a girl that tends to make it to the end to face the killer and survive even though all her friends have been killed. The question we wanted to pose was how do these slasher movies translate into casino slots?

In this post we are looking at the current horror themed slots and suggesting 5 horror movies that we think would make killer casino slots.

5 Horror Movies That Would Make Great Casino Slots

We’ve had a look at the best slasher movies throughout history and come up with our top 5 that we think would make great horror-themed casino slots.

  1. The Texas Chain Saw Massacre: This movie was released all the way back in 1974 but has remained a firm favourite among critics. It’s like a home invasion type movie told from the perspective of Leatherface and all the victims are those who enter his home uninvited. In terms of a casino game though, what we would expect to see would be a masked killer, a young group of friends, chain saws, and a great soundtrack. Bonus features would have to include a bonus round where players could choose a victim to kill for cash prizes too. We’d expect to see Leatherface having a prominent role in the game too and perhaps players would get to play as Leatherface.
  2. Halloween: This classic horror film was released in 1978 and is the quintessential slasher film that created this genre and inspired lots of copycats. The main elements of this movie are the high body count, stalking scenes, and of course how Michael Myers admired his handiwork. The violent and gory kills were omitted in favour of suspense and tension and we’d love to see how this would work in a casino slot. The soundtrack would have to be awesome to evoke the suspense and we could envisage a bonus game where Michael Myers would stalk his victim and move one space across the reels for a particular outcome. We’d love to see the main characters featured in the slot too and perhaps even some movie clips. There are several Halloween movies that could make great slasher slots.
  3. The Slumber Party Massacre: This movie was released in 1982 and came with a simple slumber party plot that goes wrong when a power tool maniac crashes the party and takes the girls out one by one. There is a clever twist in this movie too and it would be interesting to see how it would cross over into a casino slot. We’d expect to see lots of slumber party type symbols on the reels such as beds, pillows, pyjama wearing girls, and then of course power tools and our maniac. It could start with a fun soundtrack that changes to something sinister whenever the maniac appears on the reels.
  4. Child’s Play: No list of slasher or horror movies would be complete without including Chucky. In this movie, we saw the evil killer possess a good guy doll after a big shootout scene at the start of the movie. The doll then ends up in the hands of a 6-year old and Chucky’s murder spree is all down to his attempt to find his way back into a human body. This iconic movie could do so much as a casino slot, and we’d expect to see lots of great symbols and graphics as well as an eerie soundtrack. A bonus game could include a shootout with movie clips being played as well as a Chucky bonus game where you win money for every murder you carry out.
  5. Satan’s Little Helper: This is one of the newer slasher type movies released in 2004 and it does have a slight dark comedic element too. The premise for this movie is that on Halloween a 9-year old boy who has become obsessed with a video game called Satan’s Little Helper becomes friends with a serial killer who is dressed up as the devil. The child thinking it’s all a game follows the killer around as he kills and gets rid of his victims. As a casino slot, this could work really well and there are lots of great Halloween themed slots on the market.

Horror-Themed Casino Slots Games

There is a number of popular horror-themed slots available in the online gambling industry and NetEnt have nailed it in our opinion. They tend to take things to the next level and have been able to illustrate so well what horror fans are looking for. In their Zombies slot, they use zombies to great effect and the game includes lots of bonus features like stacked wilds, free spins, and a zombie-slaying bonus game. Another of their popular titles is Blood Sucker which is an atmospheric game themed around vampires. There are lots of special features including a violent bonus game where players get to slay vampires for cash prizes. The graphics add to the creepy atmosphere as do the scary characters and mysterious castle. You can find both of these horror slots at a number of accredited online casinos. Perhaps the most popular of these is LeoVegas where you’ll receive a casino bonus to go on the hunt for wins. The good news is that LeoVegas has plenty of games to choose from, which means you’ll be able to enjoy hours of entertainment.

It’s not just NetEnt creating excellent horror slots, Microgaming and Play’n Go have their own popular reel spinners too. Microgaming’s Immortal Romance has 243 ways to win, as well as a great plot and an eerie atmosphere. Wild Blood from Play’n Go has a gory bonus feature where players have to pick from a selection of blood vials to win free spins, cash prizes, or multipliers. IGT’s Day of the Dead slot is more fun than horror and features dancing skeletons. It does have some huge wins though.

There are plenty more horror movies we can think of that would make frighteningly good casinos slots. Perhaps you can spot a few more in our list of slasher movies where you can read our reviews and even discover something to watch this weekend.
