AEW’s approach to hype segments is amazing. They had a breakdown of the women’s division and the challengers that are looking to take on the current champion, Nyla Rose. Tony Schiavone did a quick interview with the champion and I have to say that she’s terrible. Her promos are wretched.
Kenzie Paige was the victim today for the champion and it was a brutal beat down from jump. A few suplexes, followed by three powerbombs to get the easy 1-2-3. Rose is a powerful force in the ring, but there’s not much charisma there. I look forward to one of the contenders, hopefully Britt Baker, takes that strap off of her.
