It started on HISTORY and the story continued on Netflix with VIKINGS: VALHALLA: THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON. It has hit Blu-Ray and DVD from Warner Bros. Discovery Home Entertainment and it is an epic release. This show is very cinematic and action-packed and the production just has this huge feel to it. There are no punches pulled and there is plenty of drama and fun to be had.
The 8 episodes from season one is on this release along with some bonus material. The show explores the battle between the Vikings and the English Royals. The show focuses deeply on the storytelling. This is very character driving and the writing is quality work. From the cast to the production level itself, this is a great watch.
The show looks great on Blu-Ray and the box art is very good. The battles that the Vikings have over territory and religion are very interesting and the physical battles are done incredibly well. The drama carries the show, but the action is a thing that broke up the heavy writing and added a fun factor to it.
I had a great time watching this Blu-Ray release and found it to be an intense and fun ride. I highly recommend it and found it to be a great follow up to the source material it was based on.
