In recent interviews, Frank Camacho has testified what a life-changing experience it’s been to get back to the very top of UFC fighting since his life-changing experience. Also known as “Frank the Crank”, Camacho has gradually built a reliance that is not yet backed up by results, yet everything is aiming in that direction.
Most UFC fans know Frank as a master in Jiu-Jitsu and one of the fighters to keep an eye on. However, from the best online casino to the top of sports and sports betting news, Camacho has recently opened up everywhere he can about how his life as a fighter may be shrinking. Still, he admits that he’s not ready to step off the octagon entirely.
Recalling the Accident
Camacho recently opened up about the accident that forced them to stay out of the fighting scene for some time. About two years ago, Camacho suffered the results of a major car accident on the 405 in Southern California. There were multiple crashes where several cars suffered severe damage. Camacho did, as well.
Still, physical injuries were minimal. To Camacho, it was more than just luck that saved him. The pro-UFC fighter talked about the odds of his car not getting the full impact of some cars which came so close to him he still believes it was a miracle. The miracle was the minor injuries he suffered.
To Camacho, that could have been a life sentencing event. He saw his professional career entirely pass him by as he pulled over and was assisted by medical and professional workers. In the end, Camacho stated that he still believes in luck and faith. He also believes in the power that both of those forces combined can achieve.
From Red Flags to Resilience
At 32 and with two defeats stacked on his record, Camacho has not yet made the final call as to whether he will retire anytime soon. To the fighter, it’s too early to think about that still. Perhaps a couple of years could divert him from the octagon to focus on his family. For now, he wants to remain active.
Although two defeats can make a fighter lose confidence, Camacho stated that these numbers can quickly be reverted. With an upcoming fight against Manuel Torres this Saturday, Camacho might be in an ideal position to turn things around.
Perhaps it was the memory of his accident that sparked his decision to prove to himself that he is still a master in UFC. Having competed in the Olympics, and with an ample fighting record, Camacho is still 22-9-0 and looking to bring those numbers as high as his body allows him to.
To Camacho, every fight brings an opportunity. To experts, he’s still got it, despite being 32. However, keeping a solid fighting level can be challenging, especially for someone who has not been in top shape in recent years.
His comeback was delayed due to Covid 19. Yet, Camacho has made a solid attempt to bring back his level and prove that he is still worthy of competing. For experts, however, these feelings of desire and commitment can quickly change the course of a fighter’s career.
Camacho Still Has It
Not positioned in California once again, Camacho has been working hard and strong in top shape to bring his name back to the top of UFC. To the fighter, it’s hard to see the end line to reach his last fight.
Camacho does not see himself finishing his career any time soon. That is why making it to the very top of the UFC will serve as additional fuel to kick in that competitiveness within him.
Torres will be Camacho’s new rival this Saturday. All odds seem to be pointing at a fair fight. With Camacho on a more emotional stand, perhaps this might just be his ideal opportunity to bring things up again.
