Super welterweight, Travell Mazion, 17-0, 13 KO’s, made it look easy against a tough opponent on paper, Fernando Castaneda, 26-14-1, 17 KO’s, getting the stoppage in the first round with a left hook to the body.
Noting that he was going to use the jab all night, Mazion, stayed true to the statement, but a left hook to the body would make the night short. Castaneda would crumble to the floor from a great shot and could not make it to his feet. He was in incredible pain and the show was over. It was a great win for Mazion, a real prospect at the super welterweight division.
