(Warner Bros. Home Entertainment provided me with a free copy of the Blu-ray I reviewed in this blog post. The opinions I share are my own.)
On March 23rd, THE UNDOING comes to Blu-ray and DVD from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment. The hit HBO limited series turned heads immediately upon release and has built up quite the fan base. Starring Nicole Kidman and Hugh Grant, this series brings the star power and delivery to immediately compel the viewers. I found the show very easy to get into and binge-watch it through.
The series has six episodes and it brings a great murder-mystery. Grace (Kidman) and Jonathan (Grant) are married and very wealthy and they live in a protective bubble, basically, but that all gets rattled. The outside world will not remain outside and it threatens the wealthy couple and the world that they build together.
The more the episodes went by, the more the show proved to be a study of humanity and the different classes that make up this world. Grace goes through some revelations and some buried family secrets emerge. There is a lot of suspense in this series and the mystery of it is one of the best elements. It keeps the audience guessing from the first episode and that doesn’t change as you go along in the series.
THE UNDOING has a tremendous cast and a smooth approach to the storytelling. I really enjoyed this series and highly recommend it.
