Paranormal Axe-tivity! – HORROR MOVIE NEWS – Help Make This A Reality

Geno

Paranormal Axe-tivity is a brand new, found footage horror/comedy featuring emerging horror Icon Axey the Clown! With YOUR help, we can bring Axey to the big screen!! By “found footage” we mean that it will be filmed in a similar way to the techniques used in Paranormal Activity…..except INTENTIONALLY funny!

BUT, we need your help! As you know, movies cost a LOT of money to produce so we’re asking you, the future loyal fan, to help with the costs! Why help? Well, in the rewards section you’ll notice that almost every tier includes an Executive Producer credit making this YOUR movie too! You’ll be listed in the credits and everything! Will that solve any problems in your life, probably not…..but it still looks cool!!

This tale begins with a young woman named Paige. Paige has just left a long term relationship and has moved into a new place hoping to escape her pain. Her therapist suggests that she start a daily journal, but she’s too lazy to bother writing in it “every day”. She quickly decides to keep a video journal instead!.

But soon her camera begins to capture some strange things going on in her new home. She glimpses a mysterious clown that seems to be hiding in the shadows. When she looks closely, he is gone. She thinks the stress is getting to her, that the turmoil of her recent breakup is starting to make her crack. She’s hallucinating. She needs rest.

Then mysterious “gifts” begin to arrive in her place. A strange mutilated clown doll. A crayon drawing of the circus that looks like as though a child has drawn it. A portrait of her done in macaroni……. Paige continues to think she sees clowns everywhere in her daily life. She genuinely feels she is going crazy. Her video dairy becomes her best link for sanity as she desperately tries to document her increasing madness.

Her paranoia gains ground when she hears that a serial killer is on the loose in her neighborhood. Women are being mutilated by a sick sadistic murderer who loves to hack his victims to pieces. Even worse, there are no signs of forced entry. The killer was in the house, waiting for the victim to arrive.

Along the way, Paige meets a young man named Craig. Craig has a similar background of heartbreak and the two hit it off. Paige confides in him and slowly begins to tell him what she’s been experiencing. Skeptical at first, Craig humors her until the evidence is just too great for him to ignore.

The final gift comes in the form of a personalized video from Axey himself in which we discover that he has been routinely stalking Paige, watching her sleep, watching her bathe and even watching her eat!

The story comes to a bloody climax as Paige and Craig battle Axey the Clown in the……..oops, almost gave away the ending! I guess you’ll just have to help us make the movie to find out how it ends!!

A feature film for only $1275?

It’s not as impossible as you think. The original Paranormal Activity was made for only $15K. We plan to use the genre of found footage to keep the cost low since that is exactly what we are trying to emulate. The majority of the other expenses are covered, we just need a little push!!

Veteran Director Matt Martino has experience producing micro budget feature films. His last movie The Drachen Recruitment Experiment debuted in 2011 and was made using guerrilla film making techniques that kept costs low while telling a compelling original story. He will bring his experience, skill and resources to do the same for Paranormal Axe-tivity.

Axey the Clown is an emerging horror icon who has found a cult following online with his Facebook page. He has been producing short videos and pictures that showcase his playful yet creepy style. He is no stranger to the camera and has been working on the character for years.

By Geno McGahee I’m a huge Nicolas Cage fan, but he hasn’t been knocking them out of the park lately. His movie run reminds me of Steven Seagals. They began with a string of great movies and then make these straight to videos mediocrities and using the term “mediocrities” is […]
