In 2000, Texas radio show host and conspiracy theorist, Alex Jones, and his cameraman infiltrated the Bohemian Grove in California. It was the first look at the sacrificial rituals with the Cremation of Care. It proved the existence of this group and gave some validity to the claim that a secret society rules the world. In 2001, the tragedy of 9/11 happened and when the dust settled, the questions arose and it has split much of the public and made for some very heated debates and has led to a fantastic suspenseful horror film, THE CONSPIRACY.
Written and directed by Christopher MacBride, THE CONSPIRACY surrounds two filmmakers Aaron (Aaron Poole) and Jim (James Gilbert) creating a documentary about conspiracy theorist, Terrence (Alan C. Peterson). Terrence has been standing on street corners with a megaphone and preached his word about the Illuminati and he has been getting the attention of some shady characters. When he stumbled upon the big picture, he disappeared.
Aaron and Jim find the empty apartment but collect the news clippings that Terrence had collected and marked. Jim is incredibly skeptical of the conspiracy theories, but Aaron is seeing the pattern. When he puts it all together, it brings him to an article in Time magazine about the Tarsus Club. Before every major event, there is a meeting of this club. When they put the call out to anyone that has any information about this club, they meet the writer of the article, Mark Tucker (Bruce Clayton), and it opens up an entire can of worms.
After the interview with Mark, where many of the secrets of the Tarsus Club are revealed, the apartment of Aaron is ransacked, making it personal. In a follow up interview with Tucker, the plan to infiltrate the Tarsus Club is hatched. They drop some money and get small cameras to record the event and are snuck in, and this is when the film kicks into high gear and becomes an edge of your seat thrill ride.
THE CONSPIRACY mixes real footage, facts, widely accepted speculation and a great storyline to make an incredible film. At times, this movie is absolutely terrifying. This movie reflects the world and is the best conspiracy (non-documentary) film dealing with the Illuminati that I’ve ever seen. This was an amazing film.
