In an amazing fight, Teofima Lopez, 16-0, 12 KO’s, is now the unified lightweight champion with a unanimous decision win over Vasyl Lomachenko, 14-2, 10 KO’s, with scores of 116-112, 119-109, 117-111.
The first six rounds of the fight was Lopez using his reach to control the action and sweep the first half of the fight. Loma began to come on and began winning rounds and it seemed like a dead even fight going into the final round.
Lopez showed his heart and came on strong and hurt Loma in the last round, putting the stamp on the fight. Scared Stiff had it 115-113 for Lopez. He won but that 119-109 was so insane.
