Tales from the Crypt: The Sacrifice (1990) Episode Review

One of the best things about Tales from the Crypt was the guest stars.  Though Kim Delaney has done countless productions, I will always recognize her as Jenny Gardner from All My Children. One of my very first memories is crying as Jenny died from an explosion on a Jet Ski.  Jenny’s relationship with her boyfriend Greg (Laurence Lau) went down in Soap History as one of the greatest super couples.  I miss soap operas.

I digress.  The Sacrifice follows Insurance Salesman James (Kevin Kilner) who falls in love with the very glamorous, very married Gloria Fleming (Kim Delaney).  The duo decides to kill Gloria’s rich husband.  They push him off the balcony and believe that their troubles are over.

Just as they begin to celebrate, Jerry (Michael Ironside) shows up with pictures of the murder.  He demands that Gloria spend dusk till dawn with him.  After months of more and more depraved acts, James can’t take anymore and decides to take action.

This is one of the weaker tales.  It’s definitely predictable but, nonetheless, interesting enough.

Scared Stiff Rating:  5/10
