Warner Bros. Home Entertainment has just released SWEET TOOTH: THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON on Blu-ray and DVD courtesy of Warner Archive Collection with all eight episodes.
The show features some very unique characters with some great storytelling and presentation. The show surrounds a virus that sent humanity into a different direction with animal-human hybrids are happening with a focus on Gus, a 10 year old deer boy and his big companion and protector, Tommy. The scenarios that this duo encounters mixed with the great pacing of the show is on point. It remains interesting throughout.
Gus is a child and still has a playful spirit in tough times. As the show goes on, the world expands with more characters, each with different motives and scruples. One of best additions was Wendy, a pig girl, with a relatable life to Gus. I also enjoyed the inclusion of Aimee, a therapist that takes in many of the hybrids and gives other sides to the characters.
SWEET TOOTH: THE COMPLETE FIRST SEASON is enjoyable and interesting throughout. The character-driven show has the ability to bring unusual situations and scenarios to life in a believable way. I highly recommend it.
