In June, SICKLE, a new paranormal horror film from Xposse Productions will be released by CINEMA EPOCH, but if you cannot wait until then, the film is now available on YouTube in its entirety. Featuring music by metal legends TigerTailz and horror icon, Jonathan Tiersten, SICKLE was inspired by the true story of the West Memphis 3 and their wrongful arrest and prosecution. It has been compared to HALLOWEEN and PHANTASM and there is no question that it has its influences.
Unlike many paranormal horror entries in recent times, SICKLE is not found footage. It concerns Michael (Logan Lopez) and his wrongful arrest that led to 15 years in prison. They didn’t believe his story that a monster killed the babysitter and now, upon his release, Sickle has returned to his life. When bodies start piling up, Michael must find a way to stop this thing and prove that he is not guilty of the string of new murders. SICKLE also features Brent Northup (FAMILY SECRET, SCARY TALES, THE COWBOY AND THE TAVERN), Crystal Aya (SCARY TALES, DEMON OF CASTLEBURY), Pete Baez (6 BELOW, SCARY TALES: LAST STOP), and Martin DuPlessis (SCARY TALES, FAMILY SECRET).
SICKLE was an official selection at the FANTASTIC HORROR FILM FESTIVAL and was nominated for “SCARIEST MONSTER.” It has also done well with the reviewers across the globe…
