MJF starts the preshow Buy In with MJF making a statement about his main event title match against Jon Moxley. He insists that he is going to out-wrestle the champion and won’t give into any brawling. This is going to be a lot of fun.
The fans are in attendance for this great PPV. They are all in masks and are ready for the show. It will be so nice to see a full house again once this Covid nonsense passes.
The promos for the Casino Battle Royale are great. Santana and Ortiz are ready and so is Lance Archer. Darby Allin speaks of going to some dark places and they even shot his promo in black and white…like usual. There is one wildcard in the Casino Battle Royale too. I can’t wait to see who the mystery entrant is.
Jake Hager’s promo for the Casino Battle Royale was tremendous. “Anyone have a smoking hot wife like I do?” What a funny line. Jon Moxley talks about “game day” and his bout with MJF. Tonight may be his toughest defense of that AEW title.
Coming off his dominant loss to Chris Jericho, Janela comes to the ring and immediately attacks Serpentico. Luther becomes a problem outside of the ring and gives his tag team partner, Serpentico, a chance to take over. I’m pretty amused by Serpentico’s strange movements in the match. He’s pretty funny.
Janela gets the edge and got a couple of near falls. Serpentico lands a DDT and gets a near fall of his own. Serpentico spends too much time playing to the fans on the top rope. Janela is able to catch him and superplex him into a fisherman suplex for a near fall. Very cool move.
Janela wins with a top rope elbow to get the 1-2-3.
