RESIDENT EVIL AFTERLIFE (2010) – ZOMBIE/SCI FI HORROR Movie Review

By Chris Summerfield

At the end of, Resident Evil Extinction we saw, Alice (Milla Jovovich), vowing she was to hunt down the Umbrella Corporation with her new found army, clones of herself, so this movie begins explosively as, Alice and her army of clones strike the, Tokyo base where the shades wearing, chairman of the corporation, Albert Wesker (Shaun Roberts) resides…

And as the battle rages and it seems the base is lost, Wesker becomes desperate, therefore boards his jet and leaves, but not before destroying the base, however he has a passenger, yes the, Alice boarded, he manages to inject her with serum that basically takes away her super strength power and while he battles with her the plane loses height and is destined to crash…

We then meet Alice, months later, she is travelling back to North America following an emergency broadcast for survivors advising them to head for, Arcadia in Alaska, but all she finds is broken down planes…

And after a crazed, Claire Redfield (Ali Larter) with what appears like some metal bug attached to her suddenly appears, Alice is forced to fight her and eventually free her from this device…

They both then board a jet and head for, Los Angeles, finally finding themselves having to crash land upon the roof of a huge building where there are survivors, the building surrounded by thousands and thousands of zombies.

The building being a former prison where Claire’s brother, Chris Redfield (Wentworth Miller) is imprisoned, though the building is soon breached as the mutilating zombies tunnel their way in, the zombies having formed tentacles that come from their mouths, filled with teeth, deadly predators to those that fall victim to them.

So escape they must and their destination being, Arcadia a cargo ship and not a destination in Alaska like first thought…

Again this movie as super special effects that we have become use to in, Resident Evil movies and I was impressed with the huge Axeman that Alice had a showdown with…

And of course on reaching, Arcadia, Alice is set for another huge battle as she faces yet again, Albert Wesker, who is determined to finish Alice and more importantly eat her to combat the T-virus that he is battling with his own body for control over…
