Hollywood has a serious problem that has only recently come to light. For the most time, it has been rumors and whispers of the pedophilia that happens within the film industry. In 2014, AN OPEN SECRET came out and some big stars were named as child molesters, including Bryan Singer. The recent conviction of Harvey Weinstein and the termination of Nickelodeon writer, Dan Schneider, led to more and more of these scumbags being held to some punishment for their sickness.
Corey Feldman, a long time campaigner for draining the Hollywood swamp, has finally released his film “MY TRUTH: THE RAPE OF 2 COREYS”, which had a one night showing recently. Feldman has taken quite a while to put out this film that he vowed to with the hopes of bringing some justice and understanding about his friend, Corey Haim, who died of an accidental drug overdose. Child stars in Hollywood have been abused from its inception and Haim was a victim of this and so was Feldman.
Some of the usual suspects that we saw in AN OPEN SECRET were actually abusers to the two Coreys, including the scummy Marty Weiss and equally slimy Dominick Brascia. The big reveal in this film was the accusation that Charlie Sheen raped Haim on the set of LUCAS. This is not new information either, but Feldman gives some credibility to the story, even though Sheen has come out and denied it.
MY TRUTH: THE RAPE OF 2 COREYS is a good telling of the story of Corey Haim and Corey Feldman, including their Hollywood journey and the abuse that they received. Unfortunately, there wasn’t a lot to the film. There was a lot more information in AN OPEN SECRET, and there wasn’t that shocking moment that was often hinted. Sheen has been accused of the Haim incident for years, including a piece in the Enquirer.
If Feldman releases this on digital, which I suspect he will, it’s worth a watch, but it’s more of a tribute to the dark life of Haim than a sustained accusation against the terrible people in Hollywood. I recommend it but check out AN OPEN SECRET first.
