MORTAL KOMBAT: BATTLE OF THE REALMS was just released on Digital, Blu-ray and 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Combo Pack from Warner Bros. Home Entertainment and it’s exactly what you would think and hope it’d be if you are a fan of the Mortal Kombat series.
This film is coming on the heels of MORTAL KOMBAT: SCORPION’S REVENGE and features more characters and more intensity, leading to a big showdown in the typical MK tournament. Being animated, the potential to create this world and do some pretty cool things was there.
The film sticks true to the lore of the series, giving fan service to the MK lovers out there. It really checks all the boxes with great action sequences, a familiar story and enough gore to earn its place in Mortal Kombat. As a guy that used to play Mortal Kombat at the arcade and later on my Sega Genesis, this was a lot of fun and entertaining.
MORTAL KOMBAT: BATTLE OF THE REALMS is a very good animated film and the voice acting is very good. There was a lot of thought and TLC in this film and I highly recommend it, especially if you are a fan of the video games and the other films that have come out concerning this franchise.
