MOBS, the nostalgic pop band from Melbourne, Australia has unveiled a new single and music video for “Find Another You” today. Fans can listen to the song and watch the music video here: http://bit.ly/2LrKZFW

“‘Find Another You’ is about the movie ‘She’s All That’“, explain vocalist Jordan Clarey. “Instead of being about a jerk turning a geeky girl into a popular girl, our song is about that jerk getting hurt and doing whatever he can to get over the fact that he’s vulnerable and just wants to be happy. This was a fun sidestep from the theme of writing about movies as this was us creating our own story inside of the movie”.

Drawing inspiration from both the musical and cinematic era of the 1980’s, MOBS have spent a lot of time crafting their niche sound. Mixing old: Phil Collins, Peter Gabriel, Billy Ocean, Tears for Fears; with new: COIN, LANY, LAUV, The 1975, M83. Writing songs from the perspective of main characters in specific classic 80’s films is just one of the ways the band intend to stand out, bringing another dimension to their story. “We have always been a huge fan of the 80’s era musically and cinematically” says drummer Matt Purcell, “To gel these two concepts together we believe it represents our vision within the band”.

This comes on the heels of the release of “Big World“, which was released last month. The song’s lyrics were inspired from the film ‘Honey, I Shrunk The Kids’.

MOBS is gearing up for performance slots at Summerfest in Sydney, Australia on December 7. MOBS have toured with bands like The Maine, Deaf Havana, Never Shout Never, and Stand Atlantic.
