Leo Santa Cruz, 37-1-1, 19 KO’s, moved up in weight to easily control and dominate Miguel Flores, 24-3, 12 KO’s, to take the vacant WBA super featherweight title.  From the opening bell, the disparity in talent was immediately apparent.  Santa Cruz landed the better shots and landed them with regularity.  Flores tried to compete, but he didn’t have the talent or power to really make any mark in the fight.

Overall, the fight was very boring and predictable and a piss poor co-main event to Wilder-Ortiz.  The final scores were 115-112, 117-110 (twice).
