AEW keeps getting better every week with their presentation and Jake “The Snake” Roberts is pure gold. AEW Dynamite begins the night with a great promo by Jake the Snake pushing his client, Lance Archer, as he heads into his match with Colt Cabana in the TNT Championship tournament match.
Cabana was great in his promo, talking about his history of winning around the globe and how he plans to beat Archer, noting that he has beaten big guys like Archer in the past.
Archer made his presence known immediately, destroying one of the wrestlers in the crowd and then knocking Cabana down before the bell even rang. Cabana is the toughest foe that Archer has faced in AEW, but Archer is a destroyer and intimidated his opponent with his immunity to his aggression.
Cabana got some offense going but he couldn’t get any momentum going. Archer was able to take it all and hit the blackout from the top rope to get the 1-2-3 and move on in the tournament. It was a great match and Archer is one of the best big men in wrestling. He may be the favorite to win the TNT tournament.
