Katie Taylor 11-0, 5 KO’s, controlled the fight from jump, beating Cindy Serrano, 27-6-3, 9 KO’s, decisively and easily. Serrano was never in the fight and was in survival mode from jump. The activity and power advantage of Taylor was the story as she pushed forward and landed good right hands and left hooks. At one point, she pulled a Conor McGregor, putting her hands behind her back and challenging her opponent to mix it up. Serrano wasn’t interested.
In the end, the scorecards read 100-90 across the board for the undefeated lightweight champion, Taylor.
