Here we go. It’s main even time and MJF comes to the ring, undefeated, with Wardlow by his side, to make his challenge for the AEW heavyweight title. Moxley is next, walking through the crowd, ready to defend his title and undefeated record. The 0 must go with these two.
The Paradigm Shift is banned tonight. Moxley will have to find another way to win this one. MJF immediately takes control of the match with his superior wrestling skills in the middle of the ring. MJF screams to the booing fans “sorry, you’re getting wrestling tonight!”
Moxley is very frustrated, but he finally turns the match into a brawl outside of the ring. MJF regains control and is keeping it all in the ring. He is trying to control the brawling and make this a strict wrestling match where he will have the edge.
Remarkably, MJF is outclassing Moxley up to this point. It will change, I’m guessing, but MJF is employing the perfect game plan in this title match. MJF got cocky though and went outside the ring again and paid for it.
MJF is busted wide open. He is panicking and Moxley is now in full control, but his injured left arm is restricting his move set. A pile driver led to a near fall for the champion, but MJF isn’t done yet.
This is a brutal match and MJF takes control, once again. Moxley fights back and gets another near fall with two clotheslines, but the left arm of Moxley is really bothering him. He is unable to finish off the challenger.
MJF puts an arm bar on Moxley, looking for a submission. The champ makes it to the bottom rope to break the hold. MJF lands the Heat Seeker for a 2 count. What will it take for the championship to change hands?
Moxley is enjoying the war, smiling and playing to the crowd. MJF lands a low blow and gets a near fall out of it. MJF lands Crossroads to get another near fall. Moxley lands the Paradigm Shift behind the ref’s back to keep the title.
