On October 19th, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment releases INJUSTICE on 4K Ultra HD Combo pack, Blu-Ray and Digital, bringing the action-packed animated film to the shelves. Inspired by the popular video game INJUSTICE: GODS AMONG US, the film adaptation is true to the source, and is very dark and entertaining throughout.
The film begins with the Joker, one of the best villains in the DC Universe, attacking Metropolis. The attack hits Superman in a very interesting way and sends him down a very dark path. It reminded me of SUPERMAN III, where he had to fight the negative version of himself. The idea of Superman dealing with emotion and anger and sometimes not doing the right thing is a very appealing one, considering that he has always been the character that doesn’t show emotion and is always doing the right things.
The Batman vs. Superman storyline begins to evolve as the Dark Knight realizes that Superman has become unpredictable and a potential menace. He starts getting other superheroes together to take down Superman and it just keeps getting more and more interesting. I didn’t think I would enjoy this film that much. It was a very interesting approach to this idea and the pacing of this film keeps getting faster and faster. The fight scenes are also done incredibly well.
INJUSTICE is a fun movie that really does the hero vs. hero story nicely and gives a satisfactory conclusion. The 4K Ultra HD is amazing. The film is really beautiful and displayed very well with great animation and voice work. I highly recommend this one. I really enjoyed it.
